ABC's "20/20" Looking for Dogs in Need of Training to Work with SSE author Tamar Geller

May 08, 2007 (New York City). ABC-TV's "20/20" is looking for dogs in need of training to appear on a future show with celebrity dog trainer Tamar Geller, author of THE LOVED DOG: The Playful, Nonaggressive Way to Teach Your Dog Good Behavior.

Tamar Geller's revolutionary play-training uses mutual understanding and respect to train dogs—and puts an end to outdated methods that rely on physical exhaustion, choke chains, prong collars, dominance rollovers, or stressful aggression of any kind. Tamar's ground-breaking techniques have won the approval of The Humane Society of the United States, for which she is a longtime advisor.

Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States said "Tamar Geller shows us a pathway beyond punishment, and reminds us that understanding and respect are the key words in dog training in the twenty-first century."

If you have a dog in need of training, you can submit a video to ABC. Dogs that are selected may appear on a future "20/20" broadcast and work with trainer Tamar Geller. To find out more information, go to abcnews.go.com/2020
