L.A. Super Adoption on April 27th in North Hollywood

Oprah's personal dog trainer to pitch-in at the LA Pet Adoption Festival

Tamar will be on hand at the Best Friends Pet Adoption Festival on Sunday, April 27th at North Hollywood Park. The festival is the largest pet adoption event in the country with representatives from over 60 local animal rescue organizations and municipal shelters offering pets of all types and sizes for adoption to the public. Over 1000 dogs, cats, bunnies and birds are expected to populate the park, located at the corner of Magnolia Blvd. and Tujunga Ave. The event will run from 11am until 4pm.

A long time supporter of Best Friends, Tamar will offer training tips and behavior insights to the public and will help prospective adopters to get of on the right foot with their new best friends.

"Tamar has a real gift and we are lucky to have her at the adoption festival. She also has a great stage presence and really helps to highlight the wonderful attributes of individual shelter dogs over the course of the afternoon", said Best Friends Founder. Francis Battista.

Raising a 'Loved Dog'
"20/20" introduced celebrity dog trainer Tamar Geller, author of "The Loved Dog," to John Stossel and his dog, Luca. Although Luca is usually well-behaved, he doesn't come when called and Stossel, who lives on a heavily trafficked street and walks Luca in a bustling public park, is worried for his safety.
